Seeking Student for International Garden Design Competition Illustrations

For a renowned international garden design competition submission. The site measures 10m x 20m. Designer/employer will provide a site plan, digital photographs of natural landscape details that inspire the concept, plant species and descriptive texts. At least two meetings in Baton Rouge to be scheduled. The student illustrator will also work with the designer/client on the layout to comply with required digital specifications of submission components. Submission requirements available upon request.

The deadline is Sunday, November 3, 2024 at 17h00 EST. All submissions will be published on the international garden design Festival website with illustration credit given to the student.

Rate: $≥25/hour. Student to estimate number of hours required. International air ticket & accommodations to opening if design is selected.

We have two projects, Smartective (wearables) and Math Model3D (math educational tools) and we’re looking for a graphic designer/user interface design student worker in the Totaro-Monroe lab. This is a student position and can apply Presidents Aid, Workstudy funding, or be hired on for at 5-8 hours per week. The graphic designer/UI designer is responsible for website design and app design for Smartective, and web design for a template website for Math Model3D and will work with software and biological engineering students.

To be successful as a graphic designer/UI designer you must be able to understand the target audience and purpose of the designs. Work collaboratively with the software engineering students to create the website. And be willing to learn best practices for repositories and file management.

This position reviews consultants’ work for complying with university standards and goals for attractive, durable, efficient, and fiscally and environmentally responsible work, products, materials, etc. This position provides Space Planning, Interior Design, furniture/material selection and specification for university provided interior design projects.
